The Map That Remembers

In The Saga of Black Wings, maps are never just drawings. Roads remember who crossed them. Marshes hide those who need hiding. Houses keep breath. Wolves refuse unsafe paths. Birds see what people miss.

This is the safe public map-room. The real illustrated map images will be added later, only when each picture file is confirmed working.

The World Map

Vardrum: the living country beneath the wings. Witness Isle: sanctuary, refusal, child-law, hearth, beast-witness and chosen family. The Salt-Marsh: road, refuge, danger, mud-law, bird-flight and old survival memory. The Crown Roads: routes of authority, paper, custody, soldiers and official lies. The Underroot: buried network, old druid hunger and root-memory beneath the visible world. The House: blood, childhood, locked rooms, origin and the question of ownership. Skeld-Fell: cold northern pressure, hidden kin, ransom logic and roads beyond the familiar map.

The Saga Road

Books I to IV: first roads, Crown pressure, salt, thorns, witness and the unmaking of old authority. Books V to VIII: the Root-war, buried hunger, severance, last roots and names that refuse to be owned. Books IX to XII: the world after root, quiet pressure, ash agreements and the living law of refusal. Book XIII: the House, childhood, origin, memory and the raven brought home. Book XIV: the northern road, hidden kin, beast-law, cold hearths and the house beyond the house. Books XV to XX: titles sealed for now, but the road is already open beyond the current map.

Beast and Bird Paths

Mad: chaos-path, wrong-paw alarm and comic truth. Benson: loyalty-road, memory and protection. Hugo: noise, humour, heart and the breaking-open of dark rooms. Blue: insult-flight, warning, witness and feathered judgement. Scarlet: red-winged scout, defiance and road-sight. Dusk: shadow-flight, watcher path and dusk-coloured memory. Jack: Moor-Wolf judgement, northern line and wolf-law beyond branding. Shane: old dog loyalty, found-home and the scratch at the door. Mylo: impossible small guide and mystery road. Glimra: unseen Salt-Marsh Sabre-Leopard, walking where the eye fails.

The visual maps and plates will be added slowly, only when the image files are confirmed working. No broken boxes. No false roads. No picture-goblins.

Map-Room Law

No map owns the feet that cross it. No road is safe because a clerk drew it clean. The marsh remembers what soldiers misname. A hidden path is not empty. Where the road forgets, the paws remember. The map ends only where courage stops drawing.
